Windows® Phone devices do not have built-in general file transfer capabilities, so each third-party application that requires access to external files is solely responsible for implementing its own file transfer mechanism.
In the initial version of iSilo™ for Windows® Phone, you transfer document files to your device by downloading them from a web server. This means that you must first upload your files to a web server and then use iSilo™ on your device to download the files from the web server to your device. Future updates to iSilo™ for Windows® Phone may provide additional flexibility.
The following step-by-step instructions use the my iSilo service as the web server to which we will upload the files we want to transfer to our device. my iSilo is a free service provided to iSilo™ users.
These instructions assume that you have iSilo™ installed on your Windows® Phone device.
Note that the images shown here may differ from your particular setup depending on the version of iSilo™ you have installed, the version of Windows® Phone on your device, and the theme colors you have chosen for your device's settings, but the instructions remain for the most part identical.
