system requirements
The basic requirements specify the absolute minimum configuration
needed to install and use the software. Additional functionality may
demand further requirements as indicated.
basic requirements
- Windows CE® Handheld PC Edition
version 3.0, Windows CE® Handheld PC Professional Edition
version 3.0, or Windows CE® Handheld PC 2000
- Storage memory for application (dependent on processor):
- PXA/XScale/ARM: 820K
- MIPS: 915K
- SH3: 660K
To determine your processor type go to the Start menu, tap Settings,
tap Control Panel, double-tap System, and then go to the Device tab.
- 120K storage memory for supporting documents
- 512K free program memory (1MB recommended)
additional functionality specific requirements
- Additional memory required for document storage.
- iSiloX required for creating
documents utilizing maximum document presentation capabilities.

The download is available either as a single Windows® setup program
file for all supported Handheld PC processor types or as individual
much smaller ZIP files each containing the installation CAB file for one
processor type. In all cases, the setup installs the following files
to your Handheld PC:
- iSilo.exe: The iSilo™ program file.
Please note that this beta version ceases to function
on August 15, 2010.
- iSiloDvS.dll: Supporting DLL for ActiveSync®.
- iSiloManualHPC.pdb: The iSilo™ manual
in the iSilo™ 4.x document format.
- iSiloDisplaySample.pdb: A small document in
iSilo™ 4.x document format showing some of iSilo™'s
display capabilities.
- readme.txt: A plain text file with important notes.
Please read it.
- license.txt: The end user license agreement for
iSilo™ in plain text format. Please read it.
Your use or installation of the software indicates your acceptance
of the license agreement.
Windows® setup program
The download is a single file that is the setup program
for iSilo™.
It contains installations for all supported processor types.
Download it to your Windows® desktop PC and then run it
to install iSilo™ to your handheld. If you would prefer a much
smaller download, you can download the CAB file specific to your processor
instead (see individually zipped CAB files below).

Instead of downloading the much larger all in one Windows® setup
program above, you can download the much smaller zipped setup CAB file
specific to the processor type of your device. To do so, download
the appropriate file below to your desktop computer.
Then unzip the file and copy the unzipped CAB file to your Handheld PC.
From your Handheld PC, tap on the CAB file from within File Explorer
to start the installation.
