iSilo™ 6.06 beta1 for BlackBerry® Touch

Install OTA using BlackBerry Browser
Use the following instructions to install OTA (Over The Air):

Install via media/memory card
The download is available as a .zip file containing the following files:

installation
Use the following instructions to install via your media/memory card:

  1. Download the .zip file above.
  2. Extract the files from the downloaded zip.
  3. Copy all the files to a single directory on your media/memory card.
  4. On your BlackBerry device, go to Media.
  5. Press the Menu key and click Explore.
  6. In the Explore window, click Media Card and navigate to the directory where you copied the files.
  7. Click on iSilo.jad
  8. Click Download, then follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Install via BlackBerry Desktop Manager
The download is available as a .zip file containing the following files:

installation
If you have BlackBerry Desktop Manager, the desktop software that came with your device, installed on your desktop computer, then follow these directions:

  1. Download the .zip file above.
  2. Extract the files from the downloaded zip.
  3. Start BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
  4. Connect your device and wait until the status at the bottom of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager window shows Connected.
  5. In BlackBerry Desktop Manager, double-click Application Loader.
  6. In the Application Loader Wizard, click Next until you get to the Device Application Selection screen.
  7. In the Device Application Selection screen, click Add.
  8. In the Open dialog, navigate to where you extracted the files from the zip, select the iSilo.alx file, then click Open.
  9. If after following the previous step, you get the message "No additional applications designed for your device were found", then follow the instructions below about installing an updated version.
  10. iSilo should then appear checked in the list in the Device Application Screen. Click Next.
  11. The wizard then shows "Completing the Application Loader Wizard". Click Finish to have the Application Loader begin the installation.

installing an updated version
If you already have iSilo™ installed, then you need to remove iSilo™ first before you can install an updated version. To remove iSilo™, follow these steps:

  1. Start BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
  2. Connect your device and wait until the status at the bottom of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager window shows Connected.
  3. In BlackBerry Desktop Manager, double-click Application Loader.
  4. In the Application Loader Wizard, click Next until you get to the Device Application Selection screen.
  5. In the Device Application Selection screen, unmark the checkbox to the left of iSilo, then click Next.
  6. The wizard then shows "Completing the Application Loader Wizard". Click Finish to have the Application Loader remove iSilo™ from your device.
  7. Click Close to exit the wizard.
  8. In BlackBerry Desktop Manager, double-click Application Loader.
  9. In the Application Loader Wizard, click Next until you get to the Device Application Selection screen.
  10. In the Device Application Selection screen, move the selection cursor to iSilo, then click Delete.
  11. When asked to confirm that you want to remove the application from the list, click Yes.

After the above steps, you can then following the regular installation instructions above.
